Anti Aging Treatment for Men

It seems like only yesterday that I was a teenager tryng to impress the girls with my boyish good looks and my witty charm and of course my list of one liner pick up lines that I plucked out from a teenage lads mag.

A few years have passed since those innocent days and although I still feel like the same young person on the inside my face tells a different story, lines and wrinkles, crows feet around my eyes and lips and and you could write a novel between the lines on my forehead.

Time has taken its toll on my face and skin and no matter how young I feel inside the truth can be seen just by looking at my face, I dont have a faulty mirror like I thought could be the case when I first noticed my own signs of aging.

I have thought about plastic surgery but apart from being just too damn expensive it is a bit drastic having someone take a scalpel to your face and did I mention that it is just so darn expensive.

The only option for me has to be affordable and doesn't involve being cut open or sliced and diced.

Thats when I decided to try out some of those miracle wrinkle reducing creams on the market to see if they really do live up to their claims. below you will find the top 5 products that I found worked well on my aging skin and my overall mark out of 10 for each product.

Being a bit of a cheapskate, I thought that i would try to get the youthful look for as cheap as i possibly could, Nivea For Men was the cheapest product that I could find in my area and I bought myself a tub just to see to see how it went.

Nivea for men is a formula that the company claim is made especially for men which according to the company :

• Energises the skin leaving it feeling refreshed
• Strengthens the skin’s resilience against daily stresses
• Revives the skin’s natural regenerative process
• Absorbs quickly with no greasy residue

Skin Compatibility Dermatologically Approved.

RESULT

• Skin looks bright and healthy
• Skin feels revitalised and smooth

So does Nivea Live up to those claims?

After a week of using Nivea the cream seemed to be living up to the companies claim, my skin felt softer and fresher, this really is a good thing because I do have a problem with dry skin on my face and this helped a lot.

But did it work on your wrinkles? I don't want a moisturizer, I hear you say, in a word yes it did work,  the lines around my eyes did look slightly reduced, although I seemed to be the only person who noticed this.

I did notice a little color had returned to may face and there were comments on that from friends and family saying how fit and healthy I looked which gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside pity no one said i looked any younger though.

I only tried Nivea for 1 week and I am sure if I kept it going longer there would have been even more improvement.

The Verdict Given more time time than the week I gave Nivea for men I am positive that the effects would have improved which isn't too bad for the cheap option for price and effects I have to Give Nivea for men a well deserved 7/10

So I tried the cheapest that I could find and it did a pretty good job for the price but what would happen if i bought a pretty expensive product would more money spent make for better results well I went out and bought FaceLube the most expensive one that I could find in my local area.

FaceLube Is completely geared up for men from the packaging to the advertising and the company claims that compared to any other brand of anti-aging for men they are the real deal

So does FaceLube rev up the wrinkles?

Again I tried this product every day for a week FaceLube is a 3 step treatment step one is a cleanser, step 2 is the actual treatment and step 3 is a booster to the treatment and a protection from the elements.

Wow even after the first application my face felt fresh and moisturised my dry skin felt soft and the color returned to my skin on day one. it took to the fifth day for my wife to actually say to me that i looked different, and a look in the mirror confirmed a good reduction on the lines around my eyes and the lines on my forehead were a lot less pronounced.

My wife was the first to notice the change in my complexion closely followed by friends and other family members and statements like wow you look a lot younger were common.

The Verdict

FaceLube really was working but the price was just a bit much for my liking, I am positive if i had continued using the product i would today look at least ten years younger. 9/10 the price stops FaceLube getting a perfect 10

After splashing out on FaceLube I had to carry on experimenting to find a treatment that I could afford on a regular basis and of course that was effective at reducing my wrinkles and making me look younger Code Sc was the next treatment on my shopping list.

Code Sc is another product made and formulated specifically for men that claims

" My Ass Intense Anti-Aging Moisturizer adds healthy, youthful hydration back into skin without leaving a greasy feel. Perfect for dry arid climates or even fan-forced heat in winter. Made with Olive Squalane, Aloe Vera Gel, Jojoba, Avocado and Grape seed oil. Does Code Sc live up to what it says?

I loved this stuff, it felt great on my skin and the dryness was gone, I felt fresh and the youthful color returned to my face and although there was a slight reduction in my wrinkles after 5 days It wasn't noticed by other people although I was again told how healthy I was looking.

The Verdict

I would use Code Sc just for how good it felt on my dry skin it really felt that good and helped stop the itching, as an age reducing cream it worked but I think if I tried it for longer than a week like Nivea the results would get better over time.....7/10

In keeping with the theme of paying less and getting more for your money I tried the second cheapest product on my list and Zirh for men came in at a good price that I could afford on a regular basis.

Zirh Rejuvenate is specially formulated for men and the makers claim that

" Zirh Rejuvenate is designed to reduce the visible signs of aging-fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skintone-when used daily. This light-textured, quick-absorbing formula also protects the skin from environmental stress and increases hydration, to create healthy and youthful-looking results."

Does Zirh do what it says on the tin?

Zirh is actually one of the best products that I tested not only did my skin look good it felt great too, my dry skin improved overnight and by the 6th day of my trial people were saying that i looked fantastic and that I seemed younger looking too.

I noticed a good reduction in the size of my wrinkles and even the lines in my forehead looked a little less defined.

The Verdict

Zirh worked well and was a product that i would continue to use on a regular basis , the price is right for me and I am sure with continued use there would be a very noticeable improvement in texture,color and the reduction of wrinkles. 8/10

The last product I tried was the reasonably priced Arimis lab series for men, I say reasonably priced simply because it is slightly more expensive than the two lower priced brands above but it is priced that I could still afford to use it on a regular basis.

Aramis Lab Series for Men as the name suggests is formulated and produced for men to use, and the makers claim.

Are Arimis telling the truth about their product?

I like this product a lot it felt good on my dry skin and it brought the color and tone back to my face, in four days i noticed a slight reduction in the lines around my face and forehead and the compliments from friends and family were plentiful, so much so that I cheated on this one and used up the whole tub which lasted just over a month.

The Verdict

My favorite of the bunch that were affordable, with a marked improvement on the lines and the whole rejuvenated look the price is reasonable and at a push i could afford to use Arimis every month 9/10

All of the products that I tested worked well, price did make a difference though and the most expensive FaceLube was the best if you have that amount of spare cash every month. 

Of the brands I could afford Arimis stood out just a little above the slightly cheaper products with Code Sc coming a close second to it.

Nivea and Zirh were good products which i am sure will be very effective in the long term rather than the one week of my trial.

My trial lasted over a period of 5 months 1 week of each product followed by 3 weeks with no product.

These results may not be the same for you, I have very dry skin and results may be different for different skin types.
