About Cadbury Roses

Cadbury Roses are easy to spot amongst the crowd of other brands on the shelves, they come in a distinctive blue box dotted with red roses, a blue pouch, or in a blue tin with the same decoration.

A box of roses comes in two sizes, 220 grams and the bigger 400 gram box. The pouch contains 600 grams of chocolates and the tin contains 850 grams of chocolate. All of the weights do include the weight of the wrappers on each individual chocolate.

In every box, pouch or tin of Cadbury Roses there are a selection of ten different filled chocolates to choose from:

  1. Cadbury Dairy Milk.
  2. Brazilian Darkness
  3. Country Fudge
  4. Caramel Velvet
  5. Hazel Whirl
  6. Caramel
  7. Hazel in Caramel
  8. Strawberry Dream
  9. Golden Barrel
  10. Tangy Orange Creme

The hazel in caramel chocolate found in every box, pouch or tin of Cadbury Roses is usually the most popular with consumers.

So much so that Cadbury recently started selling it as an individual filled chocolate.

Cadbury Roses "All Done"

The sad sight of my empty box, I am glad that I didn't buy the tin or I would have had to have my stomach pumped.

Cadbury Roses Review

I do not really eat a lot of chocolate or chocolates quite simply because when I start eating chocolate I don't know when to stop.

I opened my 220 gram box of Roses and found around twenty chocolates in the box, Two of each flavor, I was in chocolate heaven. The chocolates never stood a chance.

Not being a fan of dark chocolate I "tested" the Brazilian Darkness first, The bitterness of the plain chocolate with the Brazil nut combination really works and although I really wouldn't be able to eat too many of them in one sitting, I could be persuaded to try more plain chocolate flavors.

Fondants are not high on my priority so I tried those next and although I really enjoyed the Strawberry Dream and the Tangy Orange Creme mixed with milk chocolate, I wouldn't make a habit of eating them because they are so sickly sweet.

I then destroyed the Hazel Whirl, milk chocolate infused with shavings of Hazelnut, I loved the blend of flavors the chocolate and nuts mixed together are a great combination.

Next I had to sample the Dairy Milk two squares of milk chocolate that just simply tastes great.

The Country Fudge was a delight, milk chocolate surrounding a creamy fudge centre, it was one of my favorites in the box and I could eat a whole box of them.

Next I tried the Caramel, hard toffee in milk chocolate, like the country fudge I really enjoyed this one, the toffee was just the right consistency and the mix of chocolate and toffee has always been a favorite of mine.

By this time I was starting to eat my Roses like a man possessed, I was onto the caramel filled chocolates, saving my favorites until last.

The Caramel Velvet was my next chocolate of choice just milk chocolate with soft caramel on the inside, quickly followed by the Golden Barrel, again milk chocolate with soft caramel inside these both tasted the same but the Golden Barrel had more caramel.

I had the chocolate sweats by the time I got to my favorite chocolate of all time Hazel in Caramel, a melt in your mouth orgy of pleasure that leaves you wishing that the whole box was full of them.
