If *NO ONE* feels awkward, try sitting with her for the next week or so. Still all good? Ask her if she wants to do something like go skating or something you both like. Continue gradually from there. Build a good friendship first. But beware: girls might not want to BREAK that friendship by going out with you... always something to keep in mind. alright loverboy you have to put yourself out there. and what i mean by that is like if you have a class with her then start a conversation with her one day. 1st don't worry that shes going to wonder why your talking to her girls like being noticed so she will probably smile when you say hi. the conversation can be about sports, the teacher, mutual friends, just dont think about it to hard when you talk to her. also you could say that you were the one sneaking her the notes but dont tell her you love her atleast until she konws you and likes you. and about your friend that likes her too, its never bad to have some competition! the exact same thing happened to me and i just told my friend that i liked her and there was nothing he could do about it and i started talking to her. im in 10th grade and shes one of the best looking girls in my school now and we have been going out off and on. it also is helpful because we both look back now about how funny it was in 6th grade but how we loved eachother so much at such a young age. so start a conversation and act like your just talking to one of your friends
if you like a boy and you think he likes you back go up to him and lightly kiss him on the cheek. Boys often are too scared to ask the girl because she might reject him (as you can see from the other comments lol). But if you make the move, then both of you will be in a non-akward relationship.
Now, if he doesnt know who you are or you think he might not like you back, then the best thing to do is to gradualy show him, not tell him, that you like him. Smile at him as you pass eachother, start a conversation, or something else. If you start a conversation with boys, they will most likely be interested. Dont worry about rejection, if it happens it happens but you have to make it so that the blow is softened by still being his friend.

Well im 17 years old! I had a biggg crush on some girl back when i was in 8th grade till a couple months ago. I am now in my Jr. Year of High School and Me and her are NOW basically about to reach another level, which is we are going to go out pretty soon. *I did ask her out January 3rd when we were watching movies at her place with her friends and cousins. WE were laying together on the couch cuddled up, kissing each other occasionally, and watching the notebook. The moment was right for me cuz WE BOTH felt so comfortable together and i just went for the question. SHe said yes but as i left to go to my house she walked me down from her apartment and said she said "YES" because she was shocked and she didnt want to say no cuz she told me she DOES want to say YES but she still wants us to go a lil steady. WE both LIKE/LOVE each other alot and to this moment I KNOW we still have feelings, cuz that day doesnt afffect us* I started to talk to her around September of 2oo8 and ever since we been talking, hanging out, and just being us. So from my experience and other EXPERIENCES.....

- You and the girl you like are reallly INTO EACH OTHER!
- Make sure your ready to commit to her, because for me...I want us to be together for a LONG TIME...cuz once high school is over me and her are going to move to NYC together and go to college.

All right guys. Im in the same stage that a lot of you wanting help are: I want a girlfriend and dont have one. I just gotta tell you the one most important thing: don't be desperate. Just be yourself, but play it somewhat cool if you are kind of a spaz (Im not, but my friend is and thats why he is single). Basically, I can get dates with a lot of girls just by playing it cool and laid back and bein myself. Getting a girlfriend is completely different from getting a date though. The difference is the girl has to like you a lot to be your girlfriend. That is why I am always myself. Because if I get in a relationship with someone based on a fake personality, it will only be trouble in the long run. Unless you dont actually care about the girl and just want to run the bases with her. But I, and I bet a lot of you actually care about girls so I dont do that. So far, I haven't found anyone I'm compatable with, but I dont get worried bcus I kno there are plenty of girls out there (plus Im a kind of eccentric guy, so for you normal guys it will prbly be a lot easier). But as long as ur not desperate and are yourself, youll meet the right girl. But I just have to say you have to also get out there and try to meet girls to, be friendly with all the ones you meet, and flirt with them if they are interested.
