A Million Page Hits
After 2 years and writing 646 hubpages, this one being hub 647, between today and tomorrow I will have reached a major milestone, Maybe even 2 major milestones. and I hope my experience on the hubpages site will encourage old and new authors(hubbers) to keep on hubbing.

How much money is one million hits worth?
The question that I assume will be on most peoples lips especially those who join hubpages for this reason is How much money have you made from your 1 million page views? the answer would vary from author to author depending the content of their hubs, but from my personal experience, I have done quite well considering the fact that I have very little spare time to market or promote my work and the other fact that I write more for pleasure than I do for money,
I will say though that I do expect an increase in my earnings during the run up to 2 million hits on my hubs because Hubpages are adding new ways to help hubbers earn more on a monthly basis.
From google adsense I have earned $2500.00
from Ebay, Amazon and Kontera I have earned around another $500.00 between them but I expect that In the run up to my next million hits to make a lot more from these sources, especially Kontera which is becoming my second best earner and it has only recently been added as a source of income on hubpages.
in total I have made around $3000.00 from 1 million page hits and I would predict that this figure will almost double in my quest for 2 million hits.
For a hobby I would say that I have done rather well it paid for our family vacation this year after all.
Just imagine how much more I could have earned if I had promoted all of my hubs more.

Some interesting Stats
The Second major milestone that I hope to reach in the next few days is the number of fans that have joined my hubpages profile page I have 699 people at the moment and hope to achieve 700 soon and I am very flattered by every single person who has joined and thank everyone of them and everyone who may sign up in the future, it is always a nice surprise and gives me a wonderful feeling every time someone joins my fanclub.
From one Million page views I have had 5456 comments from my visitors, I am getting around 2000 visitors every day, and my top performing hub http://hubpages.com/hub/World_War_1_Trench_Warfare which I published in March 2007 has had over 94,000 hits.
Traffic sources, my top 5 traffic sources are

I have had 18 people sign up to hubpages using my url trackers 11 of whom have written between them 59 hubs.

Yeah it just makes you think if you did promote them a couple each day all the time or something like that, all you have to do now is test this theory out by creating a time machine and travelling back in time and promote, then zip forward to see how well you've done.
