Take the Test

Here is a little quiz to start the ball rolling please answer the questions and you will find your rating below.

  • 1) Are you the most beautiful girl in school?
  • 2) Are you wearing all of the latest fashion designer clothes?
  • 3) Is your hair sitting perfectly?
  • 4) Is your make up just right?
  • 5) Do you have the latest must have music in your IPod?
  • 6) Have you had your nails done in the past few days?

If you answered yes to all of the above questions (Well done!) you're looking good, but that won't help you much if you want to be the most popular girl in school.

If you answered no to any or all of the questions above (well done!), you don't have to be perfect in every way to be popular, unless you are a television character.

Before I get on to how to be the most popular girl in school I must warn you that being the most popular is hard work, and when you get the top dog position you would find it very difficult to stay there for long. You could compare it to a boxing career.

As a boxer you are constantly working, gaining strength, speed and stamina, and fighting different people every month or so until one day you get your chance to fight for the world title, as soon as you win the title you become the target of every other boxer in your weight group, they all want your title and they will do anything possible to try to take it away from you.

If you visit any school yard in any state or even in any country around the globe you will notice different groups of people hanging out together, the Cheerleaders, the jock's the geeks, the weirdo's and so on, everyone wants to be part of a group and when it comes down to the brass tacks everyone wants to be the well respected member of the group that everyone else in the group looks up to and turns to first if they have a problem.

How to be Popular

If you look up the word popular in the dictionary you will find results similar to the two below.

  1. regarded with favor, approval, or affection by people in general: a popular preacher.
  2. regarded with favor, approval, or affection by an acquaintance or acquaintances: He's not very popular with me just now.

In other words you want more friends, more people to like you, you want people to see you as a good person and a good friend.

Look at both definitions again, nowhere in them does it mention how you look, how you dress, or even how lovely your hair is, to be popular you don't have to be the best at everything, whether it be Athletics, Cheerleading, Mathematics or English.

The fact that you are reading this page leads me to believe that you lack a little confidence in yourself; you could be a little shy and a little bit lonely.

You want to make new friends but are nervous about approaching new people.

Building your confidence is difficult but with a little perseverance and patience you will become a different person.

Learn to love yourself, if you don't then you can't really expect other people to, join in other peoples conversations, smile and say hello when you pass other people, be a shoulder to cry on when someone needs it, offer advice if someone asks, have fun, join in activities, you will soon become a part of the group.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness, take care of your personal hygiene, no one wants to know you if you smell or look dirty, wash at least once every day and ensure a change of clothes every day.

Learn some jokes, but don't be the fool, although everyone likes the fool they are not taken seriously, be fun to be around and serious when the situation requires it.

If you are the type of person that complains about almost everything, then learn to control it, try to see the positives of any situation nobody likes a moaner.

Nasty people are not liked, never be a bully, never bitch about your friends, never backstab your friends, and most importantly never make your friends look foolish.

Be a good friend, ready to stand up and help your friends if they get into trouble, be there for them when they need you, always listen to what they have to say and always show your loyalty to them, this builds up trust in the group and soon you will be the first one people turn to when they need help.

You will soon climb the ranks in the group and people will love you for who you are.

You will also gain reputation throughout the school for being a good friend and other people will want to hang with you and your list of friends will grow and grow.

There really isn't a lot to it work on your self confidence, be the best person that you can be to yourself and to others and soon you will be the most popular girl in your group and if you want to, the most popular girl in the entire school.
